Image Hunter Finds Rainbow
My sister and I participated to a photo rallye in Montreal on October 9 to 11.
At 6:00 PM sharp on Friday, October 9, every participant (about 385) received an email with a list of 9 topics to be photographed in Montreal. We had exactly 48 hours to shoot the complete series, and send the 9 photos in.
The topics were:
- 3
- Religion
- Streetlight
- Maple
- Splash
- Sky
- Smile
- Abandoned
- Tunnel
Only 83 persons finished the rallye and the results will be made public in a week or two. Please click here to see my entries
This was shot on the last morning, at the Place Jacques-Cartier in Old Montreal. It was a cold and sunny day with very strong winds. The sunlight refraction in the fountain created a beautiful rainbow. Unfortunately, the only angle providing a good view of the prism was against the wind, which sent sprays of cold water flying all over the place. I made a few shots hurriedly, trying to prevent my equipment from getting wet. I was not a required topic, but the rainbow was so lovely, that I could not pass the occasion. Let’s call it a nice bonus!
