Where did the Waves Go?

My son (right) and his friend (left) spent most of our last summer’s vacation challenging the waves. At 16, spending the day at the beach is a great way to have fun. They can do sports and admire the people around, especially the bikini clad variety!

I couldn’t decide which one I liked better between this one or Summer Memories , the grungy and nostalgic version, so I decided to upload them both.

This one was obtained during the process leading to the final version of Summer Memories . I had converted my very plain starting photo below to black and white, then I decided that a split toning from indigo to cream would be a nice touch. I also added a very slight Orton effect to soften the details a bit and a give it a subtle dreamy quality.
