Red Ginger
Alpinia Purpurea.
My mother brought me this beautiful flower on Mothers’ Day and I made a few shots of it while it was still in reasonably good shape.
I wanted to experiment with backlighting, but I failed utterly, and the background was partly washed out from the sun light, and partly mottled from the vegetation outside the window.
I applied three different textures of mine to try and salvage the shot, simply because I like that flower and wanted to keep a souvenir after it died.
