City Urchin on a Marigold Sea
This giant wooden urchin is part of an ephemeral garden built in the place de La Dauversière accross from the Montreal City Hall in Old-Montreal.
Each sea urchin measures 2 metres (6ft) in diameter, and there are six of them disposed haphazardly upon a carpet of marigold flowers. The garden was created with the intention of bringing together the coastal communities of the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie as well as the people of Montréal.
The garden was created by NIPPaysage , a firm of Landscape Architects.
